- You are responsible for the Squad’s products (systems and services)
- You will manage the product backlog and decide the priority of backlog items in a manner transparent to all stakeholders
- You can formulate acceptance criteria together with stakeholders and act as acceptance instance, whenever required
- Serve as first point of contact for stakeholders
- Present and conveys User Stories in Scrum rituals, most notably Sprint planning, backlog refinement and Sprint review
- You clarify requirements with Stakeholders and Squad members and can provide consultancy during the backlog item implementation
- Provide consultancy with respect to Squad sizing, recruiting, as well as current and future skill needs of the Squad
- Agile methodologies: You are an expert understanding of the Product Owner role and its interaction with Squad-internal and -external stakeholders
- Prioritization and decision making: You have the ability to determine priority of tasks, taking business value, time criticality, risk reduction, new opportunities, cost and other relevant factors into account
- Ability and readiness to decide under uncertainty
- Ability to down-prioritize or reject requests that do not serve the product and defending these decisions in front of stakeholders
- You have knowledge and practical experience with systematic methods of transparent prioritization, such as WSJF
- Foster Innovation: Knowledge and experience of techniques used to generate new ideas, create a working environment which promotes innovation and be able to reference from personal experience behaviours and environmental factors which hinder/support innovation
- Ensure that as part of the end-to-end responsibility of the team operational aspects in alignment with the organizational operative processes (e.g. ITIL) are appropriately prioritized to meet robustness, resilience and performance targets
- Problem Solving/Decision Making: Be able to explain, and demonstrate experience of applying various problem solving and decision making techniques
